Blue Whale Ocean Filtration’s team will use proven industrial channel screens, conveyance, and compaction technology, as part of the working system, to filter out these harmful plastics. Also, our ship building partners have successfully engineered and designed many innovative seaworthy vessels.
Mismanaged plastics get caught up in our ocean’s currents, or gyres, and travel in them until they agglomerate in garbage patches, which are growing at alarming rates around the world. In the garbage patches, the plastics break down over time into microplastics that are contaminating our food chain. Blue Whale Ocean Filtration vessels can traverse the oceans’ gyres, or waterway currents, to help remove marine and microplastics traversing in this stream.
